With the organization of the State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, representatives of the country's tourism industry are participating for the first time in the "BLTM" ("Business+Leisure Travel and MICE") exhibition held in New Delhi, India.

The opening ceremony was attended by Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board.
Azerbaijan is represented at the exhibition by nine tourism industry stakeholders, including the Shahdag Mountain Resort.

During meetings, Indian tourism professionals are being introduced to Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings, including its cultural heritage, national cuisine, winter tourism, ski resorts, wine tourism, health tourism, and ecotourism opportunities. Additionally, specialized representatives from India’s film and wedding industries are being provided with insights into Azerbaijan’s offerings in these sectors.

Furthermore, B2B meetings with India’s leading tourism companies are being held to discuss Azerbaijan’s business tourism infrastructure and overall tourism potential.

Notably, between January and July 2024, 139,109 Indian citizens visited Azerbaijan, marking a 151% increase compared to the same period last year.
